my 1993 corvette wont start the secuirty system stays on and i tried both sets of keys it is a factory alarm the pke system any suggestions

 

i have heard of the part of this system in the ignition cylinder going bad, but i am not sure how you woudl check it.

 

try this, while you have a full charge on the battery, set the alarm and then "break into" your corvette to set the alarm off, then do the routine getting in and putting the key in the ignition to turn off the alarm and try starting it then.
