85 vette, popping,squeel from left rear. It is a rotational noise, I think its either the u-joint, or the wheel bearing. Please resond. Is this a common problem?

 

I don't know, I have an 1985 vet too and mine doesn't do that, but thats just me.

 

I just had a similar problem with my 87 vette and it was the left rear outer u-joint. Cost me nearly $300 to have it fixed.

 

Hi I had the same problem and yes it was a u joint in my case. I did repair myself but had to take in to realign camber ajustments. I hope I helped you in some way. Frank85

 

hello ,all of the advice above sounds correct,check all your joints and wheel berings,both will make a simular sound, and this mite sound crazy check your lug nuts to, i have had a customer bring vette to me with a clicking sound and the rim was loose,
