I have a problem with my 98 C5 - The winshield wipers come on when I turn tthe steering wheel to the left . The wipers do not go back to the relaxed position . Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this without taking the car to GM and paying an arm and a leg?

 

Sandy it is probably a faulty wiper switch, there is an easy way to check to make sure. remove the knee panel, and the shroud from around the steering column ( so that you can get to the plug that connects to your wiper switch). turn on the ignition and then the wiper, turn them off so they are stuck in the non parked position, now with the power still on disconnect the plug to the wiper switch, if the blades park. most definitely the wiper switch.
