Another Dreaded Windshield Wiper Thread...
I haven't found any posts here yet regarding the wiper fitment issues on the '95 C4 and I haven't found anything conclusive on the interweb (yes, went down THAT rabbit hole). So here I am.
When I bought the car the wiper arms were not installed but were provided in a "parts" box. I purchased new blades that were said to fit and, of course, they did not. The profile was too tall to allow the hood to close. For kicks I bought new side specific wiper arms with designated LEFT & RIGHT placement and installed. I returned the wiper blades for another "they'll fit" pair. Not happening. Closer, but still can't close the hood. Though the new arms seemed to be a better placement on the windshield with decent separation between the two.
So now, unless someone has a recommendation for me...I am planning to hit the local parts stores and visually inspect / compare profiles on 20-inch blades and go from there. Luckily, I have Auto Zone, O'Rielly's, NAPA and Advance within two miles of the house.
Open for thoughts and suggestions.

It makes you wonder why the wiper arms were not installed when you bought it. I can only see a few reasons why they won't work, someone replaced the transmissions and they are too tall or the wiper arms are not sliding down on the splined gear far enough. Or they are the wrong arms. The splines might need to be cleaned for the wiper arm slides on far enough. There are videos on YouTube you can compare to.
It looks like 94 to 96 use the same arms. I had problems on the C-3 with the wipers striking the windshield trim that I could not adjust out. Ended up filing the slot on the motor control to the wiper linkage, doesen't take much to change the swing.
Thank you for your response...This Vette is my 6th classic car and with each one there are things that you question. Some you just shake your head. The entire assembly...sans the wiper arms...appears to have never been disturbed and the splines do not look damaged. I will definitely look around the net to determine if I have the new wiper arms down the spline enough. Along with measuring the depth of the wiper arm spline receiver.
In the meantime, I have found a couple of low-profile wipers on the web but, of course, they are not currently in stock.
This looked promising but vendor is awaiting new stock.

I guess my question is, does the hood hit the wiper arms because the wiper blade assembly is too high or the arms on the transmission are to high? The blade assembly you pictured looks to be a low profile blade.
I believe it is the wiper blade assemblies being too high. Both the old and new wiper arms seem to be in a good position relative to height. The new arms look to have a better position relationship to each other (better than the old ones). As in a slightly better clearance to avoid hitting each other while operating. Won't know for sure until I get blades that fit under the hood.
The pictured unit is advertised to be a low-profile blade, just can't lay hands on it until it is restocked.
My '69 C10 was a California truck. The entire wiper mechanism is gone. Generally, my classics never see rain except for the occasional pop-up showers we get here. Like the 30 minute down pour we got here yesterday without warning. I've only been caught in the rain a couple of times during local car shows...both times I was on my way home.
At 71 years old...this will likely be my last classic. So, I want it to be complete...I just hope I can still get in the damned thing when I'm 75. LOL!
As a side note: I am putting Antique Plates on this one as I did the C10. However, it is hard to accept the fact that the '95 model year was 30 years ago and could even be considered an Antique.

Out of stock, I'm starting to hate that term. Sounds as if you get the right wiper blade assemblies you should be good to go. I'm thinking at 75 it won't be getting into the car is the issue it might be pulling yourself back out.
