constant 130 psi oil reading
Even when the engine is cold and the ignition is turned to on without starting the car the display reads 128-130 psi and the oil dial gauge reads maxed out at 80psi. The car drives and idles normal but the gauge reading never changes. Always reads 128-130 psi. I'm thinking it's a guage malfunction or some sort of grounding issue. The dealership said their going to look at it but I'd like your opinions.

Yes, it is almost certainly the sending unit. If you are talking about a C5, the sending unit is on top of the engine near the firewall. You have to remove the intake manifold to change it. I read something awhile back about cutting a hole in the plastic above it.
Like extanker said, do some research on a replacement unit. Some guys have had the dealer replace it and had it fail on the way home from the dealer.
It's a pretty common failure and you should be able to google up some info on it.

Thats good news. I thought it was probably a bad sending unit. What aftermarket sending unit do you guys recommend?
I'm not sure if I want to tear into the engine just yet. Knowing my it'll start with replaceing the oil pressure sending unit, and finish with a header/cam install.
