gas gauge

my gauge is stuck on full. anyone know how to reset it or fix it? please e-mail me at gilbert786@aol.com. it's a 88.

I am not familiar with the 88 year, but usually this indicates an open ground circuit for the gauge. Try and find and restore the ground connection, probably at the sending unit (gas tank).
