Glass rear window detaching from soft top
Hi
I am visiting from the UK and am trying to offer some help to a lady friend who has just bought a 2000 convertible. The rear glass window is falling away from the soft top at the top edge and it will need resealing. It is very hot here in South Texas and I'm sure the heat has caused this problem...in fact we met with an upholsterer who says he is making the same repair on brand new Mustangs !! There is no residue showing on the seal so I'm sure it is a new problem just occuring...has anyone had experience of this and found a suitable adhesive. The upholsterer wants to take the top off and quotes $350.00 for the job. There must be an easier way ?? Thanks in advance for any help.
