can i get rid of the egr valve & smog pump if so what do i need to get rid of as far as sensors & wires & what will that do for milage & service engine soon light . thanks in advance

Depends on the year and options (originally a CA car or not)... Also depends on your state, and their rules on modifying the exhaust/emissions stuff. On mine, I was beyond the state's 25 year rule, so I was able to take off the AIR and emissions stuff (except for the cat's) without any issues. The "check engine" light was on after I reworked the exhaust and changed carb setup, so I just reached behind the console and pulled the bulb. Cheap fix.
