Default No Heat

Help Vette fans. I have an issue with my 1995 Vette. I recently picked my car up from storage. To give details, I store it in a large building with gravel flooring with several cars and boats etc....1st of all...wrong decision. I picked up my Vette only to fine a large mouse nest under the hood, after a closer look I didn't find any damage. My car started right up...while driving home I turned on my air/heat controls only to have a mouse nest coming out through my vents....now I have no Heat. I changed my T-stat to make sure it wasn't that. Not sure where to check next...maybe a back flush the heater core???? but not really sure how to do that.Any help would be greatly appreciated...from now on my Vette stays home with me in the winter months.

The problem you describe probably has nothing to do with the cooling system. Since you stated when you turned on the heater you got pieces of mouse nest, I believe that the door that controls the airflow inside the heater box is jammed or blocked. Or possibly even the heater core itself has fins clogged up with debris. It sounds to me like a complete disassembly of the heater box is in order. Sorry for the bad news, but that system needs to be sanitized completely as well.
