Strickly a long range bomber/cruiser. A 1/4 mile just don't last long enough.
Current record, 1600 miles in 21 hr. 37 min. Stopping only for gas!
Reno, Nv. to Hiawatha, Kansas.

Averaging 74.8 miles per hr, not to shabby over 1600 miles and several states, not to mention a small line of hills called the Rockies, I bet you made up for lost time once you were East of Denver

I have to say that I like the long range bomber analogy, I much perfur the cruising. But with my 98 being a pewter color I like to think of it being more of a stealth bomber, or maybe even like a Black Bird. Its a sleeper but once its on you, there is no surender and no escape

Kimber,
I picked up 80 east, right here in Reno. I think I made my best time from here to Salt Lake City. Flat straights, of twenty miles or more, and wide sweeping turns. I think the steepest climb, was goin' out of Laramie, Wy. headed for Cheyenne.

I like "Black Bird" , but I had to have a "Starship"!

Nice phase!!!

Black86vette,
The worst travel issues have been:
Windshield wipers quit once
Headlight doors open and close at will, thankfully only during the day
Rear tires used to rub, new suspension took care of that
replaced the batt

Before starting out, check everything.
rearend, tranny and engine oils
coolant levels
hoses, wires (batt posts), fan belts
do a tune up
headlights, talelights, and turnsignals
check tires and tire pressure
and if you haven't had an alignment, do it or get it done

If your radio quits, that's one thing.
If your engine won't start, that's another.
