Default transaxle

Has anyone had any problems with the transaxle? I have an 05 with 4100 miles on it. The other night as I dusted a 71 Chevelle with a claimed 425hp, the transaxle cracked on me and by the time I got home, oil was everywhere.

Well, ya might as well open 'er up, or better yet, pull it out. If the case is busted, you have no choice. [&o]

4100 miles? You had a dry seal, and it got burned.

The transaxle is a know weakness only in cases where the engine has been modified to over 600 lbs of torque, then it is very prone to crack on hard launches. I would be surprised if a stock car could actually crack the case -- are you sure it just isn't a blown seal?
