You are joking right!? I can understand you're looking for an old 283 block or engine with certain casting numbers, etc. I would imagine that not being all too tough to find.

HOwever, to include a serial # (unique to each and every block, I believe) is crazy!!! Are you attempting to find a specific engine that was in a specific 50 year old car??? LOts of Luck!!!

If you can get ahold of all the previous owners, you might be able to track down what happened to the engine. Other than that, your chances of finding the original engine is next to impossible. [sm=sorry.gif]
