2016 C7 Stingray whining noise from rear area
I have a 2016 C7 Stingray with 25000 miles. As of today, there is a high-pitched noise coming from the rear. It starts about 10 seconds after starting the car. And it doesn't go away until you shut off the car. The sound doesn't change when you give it gas and driving it doesn't affect the sound. I'm not real sure what components are in the rear that could be going bad. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Nothing better than a whining car. The only thing I can think of is the fuel pump in the fuel tank that runs constant. You might try rolling up a small magazine, or a funnel, take the fuel cap off and stick it into the fuel filler hole and put your ear to it and listen to the fuel pump while the car is running, It will humm but it shouldn't be that loud.
