Default Finally a vette owner!

Hey everyone my name is Derek, better known as Tech. I finally got me a 1977 Stingray. I bought it off ebay and drive from Charleston, SC to Princeton, WV.

It needs some work, needs paint and interior. The motor was just rebuilt and has about 350-375 miles on it. Its got the original block bored 40 over, voodoo cam, Manley valve springs, headman headers, flowmaster exhaust, flat top pistons new heads(not sure of the type) and a few other goodies. Its also got the original trans and rear end, it has a shift kit with a hurst pro-matic 2 shifter. Its also got a Holley 750 double pumper carb on it.

Its a a/c car but the a/c was removed so I need to get new everything for that, I have the brackets to mount the compressor.

Also I'm not a small boy so the seat belts don't fit around my fat **** and I need to find seat belt extensions IF anyone even makes some.

Good FOR ya'! Welcome into the forums.

Car looks pretty good. And the last year for the Stingray at that!

Did receipts check out good on the re-build?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. The cars fun. Got some issues I need to fix. MY BRIGHTS are stuck on! Have yet to figure out how to turn them off.

Oh and yes all the receipts for the rebuild are good, Its got a mallory distributor, from what I heard they SUCK. I'm planning on getting a MSD to put in it.

I uploaded a couple more pics, The red and silver car is my 1989 Cavalier z24. Unfortunately at the moment it out runs the vette. I got to get the timing fixed on the vette, the distributor changed out and the carb properly tuned.
