Default Howdy...

My name is Greg, and I'm a soon-to-be owner. I basically had a Corvette almost 5 years ago, when my mother trusted me enough to hand me the keys to her red on red/black '94 LT1 automatic (wish it was a 6spd), and I drove that for about 4 months straight, and then on/off for the next couple years. That car in no longer in the family, but I shall soon remedy that predicament. As my name implies, I plan on getting an LT4 Vette in 2 or 3 weeks, just have to get out of my neck brace first so I can drive. Just for some background on me, on Jan. 19th I was in a motorcycle accident and was struck by a car going about 10mph when I was already on the ground. I got hit by a Focus (oncoming car) in the face. While I was wearing a helmet, gloves, jacket, and riding boots, the impact of the car broke my nose, and I also suffered a fractured C1 vertebrae, and a fracture to the occipital region on the lower part of my skull. I was in a halo for 9 weeks, and just got out of it this past wednesday. Now I'm in a cervical collar, and am getting out of it on the 5th of April. But enough about that subject. As far as car history, after the Corvette was returned to my mom, I got a '94 Integra GS-R which I had for a little over 2 years, then I bought a '98 Mustang GT that I blew the headgaskets on (haha) and had for 14 months, and I now have an '05 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab 4x2 V6/6spd that I bought for the job I had at the time, which was air conditioning/appliance repair. But I'm far from a truck person, and am feeling the sting of the Corvette bug once again. Sorry for the long fact-sheet about me, but I think it's important for it to be known the basic background of someone, especially a n00b on a web forum. So while I'm no stranger to Corvettes, I am hoping to learn all that I can on this forum, and am looking forward to talking with alot of smart Vette people.

Glad you survived the accident. It is rare that someone comes out of a bike-car accident in good shape.

An LT4 'vette is one of the best, hope you get a good once, and, like you, I prefer the 6-speeds.

Good luck

Welcome to the forum Greg. Good to hear that you made a full recovery from your recent accident. Do you already have a car in your radar that you plan to buy or are you still shopping around for the right one?

I have my eye on a lovely black/black LT4 with Grand Sport wheels, bone stock, and 66k miles for $14,900. Just praying it's still for sale when I get my collar off so I can go drive it...
