Howdy
Hello,
Just joined this informative forum as I've decided to convert from a 2 wheel big boy toy to a 4 wheel one.
My Moto Guzzi LeMans will belong to someone else next week and I've begun the research process for a replacement toy.
I'm pretty sure a Vette is in my future and am trying to decide between a 77-82 C3 or an early 90's C4, which appear to be priced close and within my budget.
Also, am on the fence between a lower priced project vehicle or a good (not perfect or ultra low mileage) condition, ready to drive vehicle.
I'm not up to a full blown body off restoration, but fully capable of most all mechanical repairs myself.

RE: Howdy
Wecome to C. F.
Good choice, no more bugs in the teeth. LOL
Personally, I love the body style of the C3's. If you look around you can find one at about the same price as a C4. Depends on how well you look at your choices, as to condition. I've seen bad C4's priced like good C3's, and vicy vercy.

RE: Howdy
Well, I dove in head first!
Purchased a very clean 81 two tone beige over bronze with 46,000 actual miles.
Previous owner had it 10 years and only put on 5,000 miles.
Member of Nebraska Corvette Assoc. and National Corvette Restoration Society.
The interior is pristine and original paint has only a few chips.
Most all the rubber is still soft.
Only known issues are due to lack of use such as leaky rear transmission seal.
I'm not missing the motorcycle at all
!!!

RE: Howdy
Welcome to the best place for good vette info. That car looks "Great", pre owned by a NCRS member is a good thing, I'm sure you'll find all the past repairs were done correctly. I like the C-3 style, I think they look better than the C-4s, of course I'd say that, I own a 74 T-Top. Enjoy your new toy!

RE: Howdy
have a 93 c-4 40th anniversary ruby red convertible. I have had 1959,1977,1979 {the latter two were nightmares}. I definitely would buy an 03, love the way it handles and performance not an issue. Do some research as I paid a little more then I should have. I still got a good deal but for a few dollars more could have had nicer. It was missing the original cell phone which I thought I could replace but none are easily available. Make sure it has all the little things IE{original window sticker, front license plate cover, radio, etc.
