Just introducing myself

Just introducing myself
Good day all,
I recently acquired a 1979 L-82. It is a jigsaw puzzle at this time. I have posted a few pics in the gallery if you want to see the beginnings. It will end with a 95 LT1 with the original 4-speed. Instant gratification is trying to take over but the need for many hours and dollars keeps pulling me back to reality.
One note of interest, I believe the frame is twisted as I recently set the motor onto the frame and the tailshaft of the tranny was about 2" to the right of the crossmember holes. I'm trying to find a frame shop to check it at this time.
It's a diamond in the rough and it may not matter a hill of beans to someone else but this is my hill and these are my beans.
Looking forward to being in the Corvette community.

RE: Just introducing myself
Welcome! Hope you fiind something other than the frame. If it is bent I would suggest a new one. Don't try to have it corrected. I have not seen this done to anyone's satisfaction. Best to invest in a new one. Good luck.

RE: Just introducing myself
Welcome to the site. Hope it's not the frame. Maybe the motor mounts are wrong or mis-placed. Frame straightening can be done but watwheel makes a good point. Touchy situation there. Cheers.
