Default Need Help With 94 Corvette

was wondering if anyone had any ideas or maybe had the same problem. i drove it to the store and came back out and it wouldnt turn over it has a 6 speed manual tranmission but let me get back to the problem it had still had power to dah and all but wouldnt do anything as far as turning started over so i waitied 15 min. or so and it started well it didnt do it again for a couple of days but it has started doing it more ofter now. it did it one time when i havent even been in car for awhile. also i changed my head light out now the blue light that let you know your high beans or on is now my low beam indicator for some reason its reversed now. does anyone know what might be tthe problem with the starting problem it would be helpful if so. i was thinking it was the clutch neautral switch but havent tried it yet .

Welcome to the site.
Check the neutral safety switch first just to be sure. I had a similar problem with my '87 auto and it turned out to be the starter. Is your car taking longer to turn over or does the starter seem to drag. Mine was dragging and I didn't realize it because it was like that when I got it. With the new starter it spins so much faster. Good luck with it someone with the right answer will post I'm sure. You could also do a search for "starter" here in the archives. Cheers

I had the same problem a while back, thought the security had the starter locked out. Ended up being a bad starter solenoid, went on and replace both the solenoid and the starter while I had it off. Haven't had a problem with it since.

BTW... Welcome to the forums, I believe you will like it here.

Welcome into the forums there delaughter.

Your post is a tough read there, delaughter... but the non-start I'm guessin' is the starter, or the solenoid, like has been suggested. I don't think it's a VATS issue; does VATS create a problem on later-model c4's???

Do you still have the old headlight? Swap it back to confirm the high-beam indicator malfunction, then come back on it...

I think they introduced the VATS system in the mid to late 80's, one way to know is the key will have the resister pellet embedded on it. So yes, it's possible the vats could be the problem. It could be getting a bad connection where it can't read the value of the pellet on the key.

As far as the headlights, make sure there not in upside down.
