Default "New" 1987 from New Jersey

Greetings,
I'm Fred from New Jersey and am dropping in to say hello to everyone and to show off what is, for me, a long-time dream come true. I had been waiting for a Vette in the right condition, a convertible, manual transmission, with my preference of interior/exterior color combination and I found it online at 10pm while I was on vacation at the Jersey Shore. I drove 3 hours north at 6am the next morning and made the purchase before my family was even awake (lol).
This '87 was already in great condition but my standards are high and my wallet can't keep up with me, but its trying. I have barely touched the exterior, with the exception of having the rusted fuel door cut down, refinished, painted, and baked by a body shop. The interior has seen a lot of work, including about 75% new dash/console panels (with breadbox delete), a new sound system with Retrosound old-school/new tech head unit and a tastefully deployed Kicker amp/speakers/sub system, new visors, steering wheel, and fasteners all around. The top of the engine was pulled and rebuilt/refinished with hot tanked, glass beaded, and repainted plenum and runners, all new injectors, sensors, valves, gaskets, and resealed fuel rail. I front loaded a lot of work so I'm not sure how I'm going to stay busy for the next 20 years.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to chatting with you all as I go through this journey. Its great to be onboard.

Fred W.

Welcome from California! That is a great looking car, as for staying busy I would be driving it!
