Hey everyone, new to the forums. I am considering purchasing a 200606 C6 w/5k miles (five thousand). This is aone owner trade at a VERY reputable dealership. They are asking $37k for the car, as it has been on their lot for 30 plus days (lot'sof Vettes in Dallas).

Does this sound like a good deal? It's a base model coupe w/an automatic (paddle shift). No HUD, no Z51, no nav. Blue w/black leather. Any thoughts? I am also considering a Dodge Charger SRT-8, which is approximately the same price. I understand that these are VERY different cars.

Please tell me your thoughts on the C6, and let me know if 37k sounds like a fair deal for an 06.

I just brough an 01 and I love it. It's such a different looking car, that is why I would take it over what you are looking for.

The price sounds pretty good. Good luck with it.

Welcome to CF!
Not a bad price, I'd take a Vette over a Charger any day.

sounds like a good deal. as you know, there are several dealers, both chevrolet and other, in the dallas area with good cars. if you can live without those options you mentioned, then go for it. i personally have a hard time driving one of my other vehicles after driving the vette....the HUD is just too convenient, especially around curves, etc!!!

When I bought mine I convinced myself that the lack of gizmos was a bonus. I looked at the C5 and I think the majority of teething problems were electrical and I figured it was best to stay clear of unecessary extras. My first issue was a wheel speed sensor. Second issue arisen is right hand wing mirror doesn't actuate up and down, only side to side. Simple is better!

That price sounds pretty good to me. I think the new C6's look like ferraris. Awesome.[8D]
