quick intro
Hello. My name is Bill and I live in Idaho. I am working on a new (to me) C4 project. I don't have any pics yet but I do have an initial question about identifying parts. Can I ask it here or if not, where should I go? Thank you
Coeur D Alene is a beautiful area. I have always been a flatlander in the Meridian area. A good shop manual would be helpful for most things that you do. I have no idea on how hard it is to find parts for the C-4s. I know on the C-3s parts I bought a few years back like trim parts that were $150 are now $250, that's a big increase in the last few years. Thats going to make restorations a little expensive. My daughter had a C-4 a few years back that I played with, Someone had put ZR1 body panels on it that didn't look to bad. It had the 5.7L Crossfire with an automatic with a hypertech ECM chip, it ran good. If you have questions let us know we can figure it out one way or another.
You had a question on the cylinder head water air bleed valve washers. They might be tough to find, you could try NAPA, Oreilies, Autozone. Take the washer with you to match it. If you can't find it there you could take it to a GM parts counter and see what they say. There is the possibility you could use a aluminum crush washer type that is used on brake line hoses. Amazon maybe.
