New To Group Intro
Hello,
This is my intro to the group and also my first intro to Corvettes ownership. I recently turned 50 and
have decided to have my first corvette. (I have friends and relations that are having heart attacks or
health conflicts - and thus was shorted on fullfilling their dreams). Anyways, I havenot decided on
the year at the present. There are many available as you well know. This is why I have joined this group:
1) Seek advice and info from previous owners
2) Get assistance in troubleshooting
3) Socialize with those that has same interests.
As a group, would you suggest to buy from a dealership or private? I have checked out EBay and
constantly buy "Auto Trader" pub. I was considering buying from a dealership - so I can get the extended
warranty.

Welcome to CF!
You can get a used Vette from a private owner, thatis still under warrenty. ( the car, not the owner )I take it then, that you are lookin' for a newer Vette, eh?
I'm in my mid 50's and totally understand. 52 when I bought my 1st and only Vette, an '80 L-82. Waited 46 years to fulfil the dream.

Welcome to the forum. I personally recommend buying from a dealer if you are looking for a recent model Vette. I say this for two reasons.
1. You can get one that is certified and had to past a detail inspection and comes with an extended warranty
2. Even if it is not certified it had to past a state inspection before they could legally sell it, and even if it is out of the factory warranty period they will still be required by law to give you some type of comprehensive warranty; usually a 3 month 3000 mile.
Good Luck and let us know how things turn out.
