Once at a critical juncture in my life I asked my dying grandfather what he would do in a similar set of circumstances, He pondered my question for an hour and then summoned me to his deathbed. his response has stayed with me for 30 years, "let us go out into the night and kick a one legged jackal......How profound!!

My favorite quotes:

"Quantity has its own unique quality." - Joseph Stalin

"If you don't think too good, don't think too often." - Ted Williams

"Cemetaries are full of indispensible men." - Charles DeGaulle

"Control is better than cooperation." - Joseph Stalin

"If I had known I was going to live so long, I would have taken better care of myself." - Mickey Mantle

"When you come to a fork in the road, take it." - Yogi Berra
