For sale is a complete, period-correct GM Muncie transmission and matching aluminum bellhousing from 1963. This is a desirable first-year Muncie combo, ideal for restoration or vintage performance builds. TRANSMISSION DETAILS: MAIN CASE # 3831704 (1963 only). SIDE COVER # 3831707(correct early 7 bolt). TAIL HOUSING # GM3831731(correct 1963). ASSEMBLY STAMP # P0705 (Muncie plant, July 5, 1963). INPUT SHAFT 10 spline. CONDITION used, very clean overall. BELLHOUSING DETAILS: CASTING # 3788421 (1963 only). EARLY SMALL HOLE DESIGN 4 1/8” center bore. CONDITION Good used condition, no visible cracks or repairs. APPLICATION: Correct for 1963 Chevrolet models including Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne and possible early Corvette. I removed the side cover of the trans and looked inside.
