Great clip. I've never seen that car before.

 

It is a nice car, and it is great that it is American, but what bugs me about that clip and others is how so many people refer to a car like that, or any really powerful, sleek and fast car, as a "GT." The Saleen is a great sports car and not a Grand Touring car. GTs are heavier designs, always meant for two people traveling long distances with la lot of uggage space and in really good luxury, but with as much speed and style as can be put in that type of car -- cars in the great tradition of past greats like the Ferrari 330 GTC, Lamborghini 400s, etc.

The Saleen S, the Porsche Carrera GT, the Ferrari Enzo, the Corvette ZO6 -- are all sports cars, designs much more biased toward extreme performance and light weight at the price of some (or just about all) luggage room and spacious interior room.

Cars like the present Ferrari 599, the Aston Martin DB9 Vantage, or the Bentley Continental GT, are the height of the GT scene, not nearly as fast as their equivalent sports cars, but for an old guy like me who likes his luxury, too, they are actually much more desireable (and of course, with an average top speed for that threesome of over 200 mph, they aren't exactly slow, either).
