[sm=smiley20.gif], badass man.
Yah when my buddy got his Z06 in 06, and I ran him first thing in my stock 2005 c6, and he thought he was going to just pass me up by car links, at the beginning we were side by sideand then fender to fender toward the end he was only one car ahead and we ran to almost 200mph. He got out and slammed the door, and called his brand new Z0 a piece of ****, whats funny is that he paid twice as much,....i'd be pissed too! haha

There are only a handful of tracks where you can touch these speeds and none have the distance that would allow an anywhere stock ZO6 to get to that speed within the rules they will impose onstreet cars. I've been on one that lets you go to top speed under the right condition and done 203, and know how difficult to run and rare those places are. If you truly have 850 flywheel HP (and can prove it) your car can barely do the SS mile at 200 (I know, mine did 199). But come on. This smells heavily of internet BS.

Come on guys. Bull! You ran to 200 mph? Where did you run? A stock ZO6 going supposedly can go to 198 although I've never seen one do over 185 mph it would take miles for it to wind out to its top speed. Where was this? On public roads, not chance, not those speeds and the distance it would take.

Anyways, we had the speed limiter removed. Dallas North Tollway is a good place to do 200mph at about 3am, also the 2 mile stretch of the I-30 bridge where I live is good for that too. 850rwhp is not from an NA motor. Thats with the help of a 350 shot on the fogger. I was on pinks all out, 1st texas episode runnin a 10.24 with a stock Ls2 and a 250 shot.3 years later I now have a built 408 with a 350 shot... now you tell me....r u an e-warrior, or would you like to show up at the Texas Mile in march, and make a run down the standing mile,.....for $$$? Oh and did i menchine I have an automatic w/ 2.73's?

Sorry, but your story doesn't hang together for a whole lot of reasons:
I'll mention only one. You claim you removed the speed limiter? There is no speed limiter on any C5 or C6 Corvette.
Going to claim that you knew that and actually meant that you had the speed limitation in the ECM programming changed? Corvettes don't have programmed speed limitation either. This claim is definately not the only sure sign your story is BS, but its the quickest I can discuss that unequivocally makes my point.
You're blown . .

I will not respond to you again on this thread no matter what you reply. I've had my say and nothing could change my opinion: your story is blatant BS. But you are welcome here, pal. So please stay and contribute: this forum is sometimes so serious and lacking any type of BS that it gets downright dull. And don't stop with the stories, either, I think they are entertaining - stupid maybe,but entertaining.

by speed limiter, meaning they run a certain MPH factory, so I took it to my tuner Sean Freese and the factory limiter is now removed, the car runs 255mph, but of course I dont have the gearing to run that outragous number.... if you ever get bored Mr. Lee Willis, you can google Nastyc6 and see some of the hi speed hiway runs we do in "Mexico".....

RE: 08 c6 vs.08 zo6
I gotta agree with Lee on one point: C6s, C5s, and C4s for that matter, didn't have any speed limiters to remove or re-program. A story like that, about having the factory limiter removed, well, its not quite right.
And 255 mph? A ZO6 with 455 RWHP tops out, due to a lack of power, at 198. That much power can't make it go any faster. The relationship between HP and speed is cubic, so it would take about 970 RWHP, or about 1100 flywheel, to push a 'vette to 255. 850 would not be near enough. . .
