my steering wheel is stopped in the full foward position, when i try to move it closer to me it only goes about a quarter of an inch and stops. whats up?

 

it seems to me the rod is not engaging.you will have to take the stering wheel face off and then when off you will see the leaver that makes the rod in side the shaft that engages the telescoping,might be broken or hung up. you can addjust the leaver, will have about 8 holes you can addjust, if you do not undr stand let me no i can send you a diagram how to assemble and adjust.
