Hi folks!!
The name is Bill and I do not have a Corvette yet. I am working on a 1990 that may be "leined" on, once that is done it is MINE!!! Anyaway I am 33 and have had a Buick GN that I sold last year (that was a good story that I will tell some day) and it was my first "performace car" that I didn't have to drive everyday. My ultimate car is a GTO (not a new one), but to keep the fire burning I am going to try to get this Corvette. A mechanic friend of mine (he actually was the first owner) has it in his shop with new head gaskets and water pump, the dude has not paid (he has had the car in the shop since Nov '04), so he says he is going to put a lein on it. If that goes through, I will buy it from the mechanic.
The trick is to apply the right amount of pressure on the mechainic to get him moving. I would only be buying it for the cost of repairs ($3500ish) or so, he may be hesitant because he knows he can sell it for 3x that. We'll see.
<<I got clearance from the wife to get this thing!!!>>
