I'm trying to replace the tail light wiring harness on a 54 Corvette but can't remove the old harness it appears to be (glued) in for lack of a better word .I followed the wiring from the trunk side up over the driver side fender well with a bore scope camera and it looks like it has been sealed in .Does anyone know how I should go about removing the old harness.I would appreciate any suggestions Thanks

 

Welcome to the forum. You can check and see what some of the after market vendors and see if there is an Assembly Manual available for that year. I don't know if they went back that far or not.

 

Thank you I checked with the wiring manufacturer and they said they had heard of the problem but didn't know how people got around it .I will look for a assembly manual

 

Another thought would be to either try to find a Corvette club near you or ask someone that is in the NCRS.
