65 door locks

RE: 65 door locks
NO, neither door will lock from inside or outside. This car sat for 2 decades and was run very little. I can't imagine the door locks had been used much if at all. I am very mechanically inclined but have learned from past endevors to not disassemble without prior knowledge of what's going on inside. Please help! I'm thinking of driving to a Power Tour stop in June.

Well, let see, I can't image it could too many thing that could go wrong.
Do you have a chassis or body service manual that shows the Corvrtte body?
Do you have the special tool for removing the door handles, window cranks and lock ****? If not it's an inexpensive tool you should be able to get at most all parts stores or auto body supply store. Then there is a few screws on the bottom side of the door and some push thingies( can't think what you call them) on the front and rear of the door panel.
The first thing I would check is to see if the small rods are hooked to/ or missing that go from the locks to the lock mechenisam in the latch.
Would'nt think age and not being used would efect them, do the locks turn easy when you turn them with the key?
I'll take a look at my manual later and see what it says.
