Power Door Locks
Something has happened to my power door locks. It will lock the doors but it will not unlock the doors. Tryed both sides but it still want unlock either door. Whenever I turn the key in the Drivers Door to the right and left there is a clicking sound from under the gear shift console. I found in a shop book there is a Anti Theft Relay switch underneath the gear shift. The switch underneath the hood area has been disconnected from the previous owner. But never had a problem with both doors opening before. Can anyone HELP!!!!!!

RE: Power Door Locks
I don't know if this applies to corvettes or not but I had a similar issue on a ford explorer, it turned out I had a severed wire in the hinge area of th passengerside door where the wires come out of the door then go back into the body it seemed to cause an incomplete circuit and made the door locks sound like they were popping open but they would not actually unlock. i don't know if it was a ground wire or not. i fixed it and the locks worked again. I hope this helps you. Tom

RE: Power Door Locks
pull the switches out and make sure ALL the wires are connected securely..while you have the switch out, push all the wires to their connectors and try the switch or have someone else do it..this was a problem i had with the window switch and come to find out, all that holds the wires to the switch is some factory tape and with time (and heat)the tape slid a little causing my wires to slightly disconnect..some days they go up and some they did not..but they always went down...hope this helps you out- Russ
