Default Hood latch photo needed.

Anyone got a photo of how the hood latch release on a C2 attaches to the hood release to free it from the brackets?
I have the new release cable in but don't know how it attaches to the release mechanisms.
Thanks.

Butch.

Thanks Thomas. The 64 looks like my 66. The cable goes from my hood latch under the dash to the lever under the hood. But when you pull the hood
latch it only pulls on the cable. It doesn't activate the release mechanism at all. I've been studying it and trying to figure it out. I do appreciate your
help. Thanks a bunch.

I finally figured out the hatch problem. There are 2 different lengths of cables going from the dash to the hood. I have factory a/c so it needs the short cable. The longer cable, which I have, only bends under when you pull the lever. I still had the old chewed up cable and compared the two. I took my new longer cable and cut it to the length of my old cable. I hooked it up and it now releases the hood. This thing was driving me nuts. Thank you guys for the help.
