Default Mufflers for 1966 327-300

Forum newbie just scored a gorgeous frame off 327-300 (probably bored out w hot cam) C2 with stainless steel straight pipes. The rumbly muscle car sound is a bit loud for my wife and the neighborhood. I'm looking for an aftermarket muffler system that would give it a sweet Italian sport car sound and am thinking of a Flowmaster system. Your suggestions and/or video links to before and after muffler conversions.

Welcome to the forum.
You could try going to the manufacturer's or the aftermarket supplier's websites and see if they have audio clips posted there. You could also check out Borla and MagnaFlow for exhaust systems.

Hi Jackson. Coincidentally I just purchased a stock 66 l79 and am looking for a louder setup. If you want to get rid of yours I could be interested. Are the 2 1/2"? Where are you located?

Yes, I have two brand new 2&1/2 inch Flowmaster mufflers in a box near Charlottesville VA.. But I can ship them anywhere.

I puchased a complete chambered exhaust from one of the big suppliers, Ecklers or equivalent....
Uses chambered sections used in Corvette side pipes and I believe 69 Camaros
Two chambers per side, sounds like a big block w/side pipes
Exits out the back ports as original
