Found this spare tire in the tub of my recently purchased 66 L36. Definitely non original to any Corvette. It’s a Firestone Deluxe Champion, 8.15 - 15, red line/white wall. Has anyone ever seen this type of tire?

If you're curious, you might check with Coker Tire because they make reproduction tires for old cars. They might have a clue as to what actually used this particular tire.
That tire you have pictured was an option Firestone tire on a Ford Thunderbirds from 1965 to 1969. Corvette in 1966 had the choice of black wall, white wall, and gold striped tires. 1967 Corvette had a red stripe tire, Pontiac around 1967 had a double red thin striped tire. Lots of changes in those days.
The 60s was an amazing time for tires and many different side wall stripes, big and small strips. There might have been a few years where the tires had different sidewall stripes on both sides of the tire, you choose which one you want to expose.
