Default Plug wires take more time to change...

We did a tune up and an alignment on the '65 coupe. Our plan was for about 2 hours total. It turned into over 4 hours! We did not know that two plug wires on each side run through the motor mounts. You have to undo the mounts and jack the engine about an inch. Plus we have all of the ignition shielding in place, which adds more time as well. One shield on each side shares the motor mount bolt, which makes it even more fun when trying to lineup the engineand get the bolt threaded. :-)

We just wanted to pass this on for anyone planning on changing plug wires on a mid year.

It was worth it! A couple wires were not even clamping down tightly on the plug. It's no wonder it sounded like only 6 or 7 firing most of the time. She runs great now.

Good to hear.....it's always good to get performance results from somthing as simple(well usually simple) like a plug and wire change.

The small block C3's are the same, plug wires through the engine mount.
