Default Unusual Identification Plate

The 1965 corvette that I purchased had in the glove box the manual with the Protect-O-Plate and another plate that was obviously riveted on the car somewhere that was painted because the color on the plate was the same as the car. This is not the body and trim identification plate that is attached next to the VIN ID plate under the glove box, because that trim plate is still riveted on in its regular place. I'm attaching a picture of this plate and am interested in putting it back on the car where it goes. I have looked through the Corvette Assembly Manual and also Vette Vues Fact Book and it doesn't appear anywhere in either of those publications. Does anyone know what this is and where it goes?
