1979 Battery Drain

RE: 1979 Battery Drain
In both of the above pictures you can see that parts of those circuit boards are toast, but the damaged areas could be bypassed by someone with a soldering iron , a bit of telephone wire and a light touch. Or you could reach in to your pocket and spend the $75.00 to $100.00 that they cost new.
By the way, I also have a '79 and have done lots to it. So if you have questions - just ask!
And don't let me forget to add my appreciation for your service to our country. Stay safe and come home to enjoy your Corvette soon!

Blushark-you took the words right out of my mouth. Many thanks and then some for serving in the Military. We need more like you and you have my total respect.
Stay safe and look after the other guys always.
I live in Killeen, Texas, the town that encompases Ft. Hood. I ETSd here in '83 after two tours. The guys now have a hell of a purpose unlike the peaceful times that I served, at the end of Viet Nam ('75) 'til '83. We were on alert in '76 or '77 for Ziere, Africa but didn't go. (was with 1/17th Cav, 82d Airborne Div.)
God bless you guys serving.
SORRY FOR THE OFF-TOPIC COMMENTS.

RE: 1979 Battery Drain
Well I just got back from playing with the pirates off the coast of Africa and let me tell you, it is hot as hell over there. The Vette has been sitting in the garage the last 3 months so I am going to get back to work finding he short so I can get it to run right and then drive it to the tranny place. I looked at my car last night and all the tranny fluid is on the floor. I will get it running in the next few months. Winters here in VA are not that bad so I will be driving it soon. Thanks for the help I am will keep digging.
