Default 75 Radio Problem

Hello everyone!!! I just bought a 1975 convertible L82; my first corvette!!! Everything works except the clock and the right speaker...Any ideas on why my right channel speaker won't work? I checked the connections, look ok. My OHM meter says the speaker is getting juice. Left channel works fine. Doesn't matter if I have it in AM or FM, same result: no right speaker. I have a 1975 L82 vette with AM/FM Stereo Radio from Factory. When I turn the bottom dial that switches channel from left to right, no effect.Could it be the speaker? or the radio unit itself? Thank you in advance.

Sounds like it's the speaker, wire another speaker to that channel to test the output. As for the clock, it can be rebuilt with a quarts movement from any of the Vette cataloges.

Another option on the clock is to disassemble it and clean the contact points. That's usually all that's wrong with them. Quartz that buckshot is much more reliable tho. From an originality point tho, if you are at all interested in that, you can tell that there's a quartz movement in the clock since the second doesn't jump second to second as the OEM does. It's a continuous sweep. Only a concern if you plan to go theNCRS route.
