75 Tachometer
My dad has had this 75 corvette since 76 and the tachometer freezes at a certain point. I have ordered the circuit board from ecklers but i dont know where it goes. What is the easiest way to put one of these in? Thanks
I like to hear about someone hangin' on to a "special car"!

Hats off and Hi-5's to your Dad.[sm=icon_rock.gif]
I don't have the ability to send pages from my manual, or I would.
I recommend that you pick up a Chevrolet Shop Manual, for your year of Vette. You can get them from
www.ecklers.com
or
www.mamotorwoks.com
An assembly manual helps too.

There is no easy way.
Best bet is to pull the dash out and dive in from the top of the speedo/tach cluster. You might be able to leave the dash pad and pull the speedo/tach cluster out far enough to expose the wires and circuit board, but I've never tried that (fat fingers).bill.
Basicly, remove the intrument cluster.
Now that it's out, you can do your work.
Sounds simple, don't have to remove dash pad.
Unscrew, unplug, and remove.
Plug in, screw in, and you're done.

ok, i took the dash apart, got the tach out and replaced the circuit board. the old one was fried in a couple places. but now when i start up the car the needle goes to 2200 but when i rev it, the needle goes down, what did i do wrong, mix up some wires?
