Default 78 headlight issues

I bought a 78 Vette for my 25th birthday in 2003. I looked for a long time til I decided to get my b-day year for my first corvette. It is a sweet car. Its been paid off for a few years now; and I'm slowly starting to restore it.

I've been having issues with my headlights. The other day, I raised the Headlights before heading home and now they won't go back down. I looked for leaks in the vacuum hose; but haven't been able to resolve the problem. Does anyone know what I can do or look for to fix this problem?

Thanks! oovetteoo

Default This might help!

Make sure that the "Headlight Override" switch under the dash is in the correct position.

Try PG's advice and if that doesn't work then replace the vacuum hoses.
I replaced all my vacuum hoses for under $10 and it took a couple of hours, easy job.
One other thought, could be the headlight switch, that runs off vacuum.

Good luck,
Schoon
