Headlight issues???
Hey Guys,
This is my first post here, looks like I may need you guys once in a while since this is my first Corvette also!!! Im glad to be here and I look forward to helping out wherever I can also!
Here is my problem..... I just bought a 1985 Corvette and I have a couple issues I wanted to address and see if there was anything I could do about them. First off, my headlights wont open. It seems like they get a little jolt of power and then dont move but about 1 1/4 in. Is this kind of thing common? Any ideas on how to fix it?
Also, where is the best place to get interior for this year Vette? (as in carpet and new leather or vinyl seat covers).
Oh and it needs a new removable top also. I can get a replacement for $700 in my area. Good deal?
Thanks a bunch guys !!!!
JT

Corvette America, Corvette Central, your local GM dealer (if the parts aren't discontinued) , vette2vette for used parts, come to mind. And once you order, the catalogues arrive regularly with new (and usually costly) items they think you just can'tget by without. Good stuff, too, though. And usually nowhere near as expensiveas OEM parts. (Check out GM priceon the ratchet for the targa roof!) 2nd on the lights. Gears probably are worn out. At least the doors come up a little. That's a plus as it seems the motors are still operating.
