78 Vette been sitting awhile
I am going to check out my Dad's 1978 Vette, it has been sitting over a year. I am going to help him get it started, its apretty nice car except for three problems...
The Bad
interior is bad mostly seats, carpet, door panels
Carb/choke issues
Electrical, something drains the battery if it sits more than a few days
The Good
Body is straight paint is good, last year it seemed to run OK.

Hi 98MustGT, welcome to the websight. How lucky are you, Dads going to let you have his Vette.
The interior is easy and makes the car look so much better.
The choke is easy to change only one screw holds it to the car. (Well I thought it would be easy till I broke the screw in half and had to drill and retap the hole)
As far as the battery drain disconnect one battery cable and put a test light between the cable and the battery, then pull one fuse at a time when the light goes out check everything in that system.PG.

Wecome to CF!
First, put the bat on a charger.
Drain out all the old gas, next.
Now change your oil/filter, put in some new gas.
Now that this is done, your bat is charged.
Pour 1 tea spoon of gas down the carb throat.
Get in, and fire 'er up!
Stay with us, and we'll help ya figure out all that other stuff too![sm=smiley20.gif]
