79 headlight question
Hi. I am new to corvettes as I just recently traded my 1969 GMC K10 for a numbers matching 1979 corvette. The car is almost complete but it is missing a critical part, the headlights. I found that they are ridiculously expensive, like 1200 for a set. I was wondering if there are some aftermarket headlights available that maybe don't flip up? I saw a set on Ebay that looked like a 4th gen Camaro headlight setup, but I can't find them anywhere else. Is there kits like that or will I have to make some myself?
Also what kind of front end is this?

There are several places to get the headlight kits that don't flip up. Most use the rectangular bulbs side by side. Check Ecklers and ACI. They also carry the body kits (ACI has some nice ones) and you can track down which front end that one is. It looks like a copy of the Greenwood without the brake cooling tunnel.
There are lots of aftermarket front end options for the C3s.bill.
The "Flip Lights" are one of the coolest things on the 'Vette. Are you sure that you want to go w/ "fixed lights" on your 'Vette? Surely you can find a " 'Vette" hd. lt. set-up reasonably. Just my opinion.
