Is this air cleaner correct for my 71?
[align=left]Looks later than 71 to me. I believe it would have come with an open element and chrome lid. This engine looks later than a 71... more like 76-80. If I remember correctly, Chevy used orange paint on their blocks up to 75... the blue paint and HEI distributor might make this a newer 350.

Gotcha.... just found your other posts and the pictures. It is close, same style... less bling. I've enclosed a scan from Zip Corvette parts (www.zip-corvette.com) to show what they sell as a correct replacement for your 71. I use them, Ecklers, Mid America and Paragon Reproductions. All have catalogs and are great sources for restoration parts. They also sell the correct crossed flag sticker for the 350/270 Turbo fire.
[align=left]Enjoy your ride... a great find. Looks like you found the urban legend... barn finds just don't exist anymore!
Later,
Wedge
