In your opinion, how do the tires you have now (Firestone Indys) ride? As I've said before, that same tire, to me, was very hard riding. I do know that some of the characteristics of the tire have been changed, but I would think that it's basically still the same tire and that it has the same basic ride. I just was wondering how you feel about the hard riding on the car overall. One of my worries is that I'll get alot of rattles that I'll have to continually track down and tighten up, as in the long run, rattles do come about from a hard ride. With the exception of very expensive soft compound performance tires, I haven't seen a smooth and soft riding performance street tire . I guess that you either get performance or a smooth ride.

Your car is "smokin' lookin' " and is a serious "eye catcher" for sure.

In all fairness, the Goodyear Eagle GTII's that were on the car had been on there from a previous owner and wereseveral years old. I had also beat the back tires up pretty good, the drivers side rear tire was close to bald. I had a lot of trouble with the old GTII's as far as handling and road noise was concerned, but old worn out tires will do that.
In comparison The Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's ride a lot smoother, provide more stability on uneven road surfaces, are quiter and provide better wet traction too. The rear of the car is not as likely to try and slip sideways when I come off a red light in the rain. Traveling at highway speed is improved now too, less overall vibration and noise in the car. After shopping quite a bit, I found the best deal at Tirerack.
