Default Baffle Install

Good evening fellow Corvette owners. I just got some new hooker headers with side pipes for my 73. I've also got the 2 1/4" Sweet Thunder baffles. I've installed the headers. Getting ready to install the side pipes. How do you install the baffles. Do you just slide them in. How far from the end where the pipes connect to the headers do they go in? I appreciate any help you folks can extend to me. Thank you in advance. Charles

Welcome to the forum.

I assume you're talking about the Hooker "nest of snakes" style header/sidepipes. I use a glass pack insert in mine. But my sidepipes are 4".

Maybe if you post some pics of yours, I might be able to make a suggestion. I guess they didn't come w/ instructions.

Default Baffles

Good Morning 73 shark: Thank you for your response. My hooker pipes are also 4" in diameter. They are 48" long and curve out at the end by the doors. No they did not come with instructions (strange). I will try to post a couple of pictures. I am somewhat of a dummy when it comes to these damn computers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Have a good day: Charles
