Question C3 - Aircon Compressor Mounting Advice?

Hi,

Just in the process of putting the million parts back on our 1981 C3 Corvette (Here in Melbourne Australia). I've installed hooker headers, but because we don't have the original headers I can't see what normally goes between the aircon lower bracket the block?
I've attached a photo to explain, if it's nothing important I'll just make up a spacer or something to run a bolt through.

BTW: I know it's off alignment, the bracket is a bit bent and I've attached a photo of the bracket in use.

cheers,

Craig

Welcome to the forum.

You just need a spacer to make up for the missing exhaust manifold. If you can find another Corvette with an exhaust manifold on it, you can measure that distance and cut your spacer to that length. That's what I did when I installed factory air conditioning on my 73.
