So 8'-10" is the min ceiling hight?
You mean 8-10 feet, right. The forum software glitch is doubling single and double quotes.

Yeah, I meant 4 feet for each car plus 1o inches. I built my garage with 8' walls but with the elevation of the foundation I had enough clearance. As for the installation, I did it with a friend (the ramps do weigh a ton) but we made quite a few errors along the way that had to be undone because the directions were not very clear. Read the directions clearly and make sure you visualize everything in your mind so you won't have the problems I had. For example, the cross beams fit on either side but only work one way, not the other. Plus, nowhere in the instructions did they even mention the lock ladders that go in each upright so we had to disasemble half the lift to put them in after we realized they had not been installed. Good Luck!!

Not sure what you mean by 8"walls?
What is the actual height from floor to ceiling of your garage.

The walls are built on the foundation walls which are about a foot above the actual floor, so I get the 8' plus about another 12 inches giving me total height of almost 9 feet. The lift requires8 ft 10 in minimum so I just make it. If I can figure out how, I'll send you a photo.

OK,
Now I understand.
Last question how does your garge door open.
Is it overhead on tracks?
If it is I would think it would hit your top car.

Yes, the door is on tracks. I actually raised the track one hole in the mounting bracket to raise it about one half inch. The door clears the rear of the car by about two inches and the top of the rear spoiler by about two inches. I guess I just got lucky.

I'll send some photos but I'm at work now and have none and won't be at my home computer for a few days. Stay tuned and I'll post what I have.

We have a propark 8 by direct lift and it works great! We have a 75 and a 77 vette and needed a place to store them. I was concerned at first but there is no danger in these lifts. I'll try to get some pics for ya.
