Default carpet install

I've been taking my original carpet out of my 75 and have noticed that the precut carpet I ordered from corvette central is considerably longer and wider than the old. Does anyone know if I should have problems with it fitting or if I will have to trim the excess off? thanks you all. Jonathon Holmes.

Yes! The new carpet will have to be trimed a little, I used my old carpet as a guide but you still have to trim it a little for the best fit.
Just cut a little at a time, check the fit and trim again if you have to.
It will look like a new car when your done so take your time, cut and fit and recut as needed. PG.

If it's preformed, it helps to use a heat gun when fitting it into some of the tight corners.
