Question First time for everything

Bought new bat cables for my vet and when I went to connect the positive cable to the bat it would not and will not fit over the positive post.

Ever have this happen before?

Just take the bolt out and wedge a large screwdriver or chisel in the end and spread it apart a little.

Mine has a bolt that goes through the end of the cable.

Maybe it's a negative cable.

Thanks PG but I already tried that and it still wont fit.
I just borrowed a tool from my friend that is made for opening up tight cable connectors.
Worst case I will file out the connector a bit.

Shark,
I checked the package itcame out of and it says positive, it is the right length.
Probably made in China.

If it fits the negative post, then it's probably the wrong terminal.

Weren't your OEM cables for the side terminal batteries?
